As our nation prepares for the upcoming election, the Church encourages all Catholics to participate in civic life with wisdom, prayer, and a well-formed conscience. Voting is not only a civic responsibility but also an opportunity to promote the common good and uphold the dignity of every human person.
The Church does not endorse political parties or candidates. Instead, the Church invites us to reflect on the moral and ethical issues that affect our communities, our nation, and the most vulnerable among us. In making our decisions, we are called to consider Catholic values such as respect for human life, care for the poor and marginalized, support for families, religious freedom, peace, justice.
Before casting our vote, let us pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit. Let us seek reliable information, engage in respectful dialogue, and avoid division or hostility. Our faith calls us to be instruments of unity and hope, even when we disagree.
May God bless our nation and guide all voters, candidates, and public servants in the pursuit of truth and the common good.
Fr. Chris
